What changed
Simplified is available in Portal & manual theme and becomes the default on your next visit. It includes news, the welcome banner, Universe status and account access. Other themes retain the full portal layout.
Classic is the default game theme for new settings. Existing personal game theme choices are retained.
Planet details have their own Universe view with artwork, environmental statistics, population observations and a journal of available saved scans.
Shareable URLs use page, tab and coordinate parameters. Background directory refreshes no longer reopen the same route and scroll the page to the top.
The Planet Editor has compact category dropdowns, a world preview and a confirmation button. Saving uses the selected planet and preserves stored ticks in the staff workspace.
Battle reports are centered in separate blocks for fleet losses, captured asteroids, population, Biodomes and salvage, retaining race colours. Unrecorded held or stolen ships remain marked as unavailable.
Older colony and directory reports are rejected instead of overwriting newer ticks. This protection does not reconstruct previously lost tick history.
The live game and portal are hosted at https://starfal.yousmp.org/.
